Welcome
Welcome to the home of the St Wenn Families. I am Philip Green, the On-Line Parish Clerk for St Wenn. My wife and I both have family links to St Wenn parish and we live in the shaddow of Rosenannon Downs.

This site is dedicated to people who lived in the Parish of St Wenn between the early 18th century and the early 20th century. The purpose of this site is to assist those who are researching their family history and who had or may have had family living in St Wenn parish.

If you are interested in modern day St Wenn, you can click here to view the Parish Clerk details.
Information has mostly been collated from parish records and census returns. I have access to a lot more information than is shown on this web site, including photographs of original documents from the English Civil War to the present day. I have omitted information relating to living and recently departed people. For this, I am using as cut-off dates the same rules as used by the OPC project: 100 years for birth & marriage records, and 75 years for burials.

Information contained in this web site should be treated as a guide to research into your family history. Some of the original handwriting was poor and some of the photographs are poor so the transcripts cannot be 100% accurate. Another point to note is that spelling in bygone years was extremely variable but I have standardised the names of people and places. However, if you view transcripts relating to an individual, they will show the original spellings.

The web site is still in development with more information and features being added as they become available. In the meantime, enjoy exploring the web site and if you wish to make any suggestions or ask questions, please click here and complete the contact form.

Family Histories
I am in the process of summarising the history of the families, farms and tenaments of St Wenn, including when families migrated to St Wenn, where they came from and what happened after they left the parish.
